“Warm and kind”
TV4 Nyheternas’ reporter, Jon Jeppsson, met Carter during an election observation in Guyana’s capital Georgetown in South America, when he worked as an election observer for the ex-president’s organization, The Carter Center.
Jeppsson remembers him as a warm person.
– It was the centre’s hundredth election observation, so he was part of the draw for this mission, and met politicians and diplomats, among others. But he also spoke to us, says Jeppsson about the meeting that took place almost 15 years ago.
– He was a very warm and kind person who took his place in the room. He had good vibes simply with a pleasant southern accent, he continues.
