At the beginning of 2023, the party leader of the Sweden Democrats proposed Jimmie Åkesson45, to Matilda Kärnerup29, on board an Åland cruise.
The couple met in connection with Åkesson being friends with Kärnerup’s parents. There is a 16-year difference between Åkesson and Kärnerup.

Approximately 500 guests are invited to the wedding. There will be food trucks, an open bar, live music and karaoke sessions during the party, according to the couple.
Before the wedding, Jimmie Åkesson has forbidden one thing, something that he has explicitly written in the wedding invitation.

They were present at Jimmie Åkesson’s bachelor party
This weekend, the couple will get married in Slottslängorna in Sölvesborg, according to Expressen, and before this, Åkesson had his bachelor party.
Many party colleagues were present at the party. A picture on Instagram, published by none other than the party’s head of office in Skåne, Johan Wifraliussome of the participants reveal.
Among other things, there is the communications manager Joakim Wallersteinthe municipal council Jörgen Fogelklouthe members of parliament Matthias Karlsson, Martin Kinnunen and Magnus Persson.
According to Wifralius, Åkesson was kidnapped by a party bus, equipped with disco lights and a smoke machine.
– We went around town a bit and listened to music and had a very nice party in there. It didn’t drive that fast and that was good, because there was a bit of a bad balance in there, so to speak, he tells Expressen.

Met the famous musician
The party was far from over there.
The bus continued on to a virtual reality center and then to Södermalm in Stockholm where guests hopped around between different bars, according to The Express.

The last stop of the evening was the hard rock pub Bröderna Olsson’s garlic and shots. Judging by Wifraliu’s Instagram, they bumped into one of the guitarists in one of Sweden’s biggest hard rock bands, Candlemass.
Candlemass is also a band that Jimmie Åkesson is a fan of, at least judging by his outfit when the party leader voted early in the EU elections.
