Jimmie Åkesson is questioned about the anonymous accounts linked to SD’s communications department.

He believes that these are individuals from the “Tiktok generation”.

– They had probably done it in their free time anyway, he says in SVT’s Agenda.

In Agenda, Jimmie Åkesson says that the anonymous accounts that TV4’s Kalla fakta revealed are not run by the party but by individuals who are either involved in or who work for the party.

– If they hadn’t done it, they probably would have done it in their spare time anyway. That’s kind of what my point is here, he says in the program.

Åkesson says that he himself does not “sit and rule”.

– This is how the internet works today. The Tiktok generation works this way, he says.

When asked if he and the party have no responsibility, Åkesson says:

– Yes, of course we have because the people who work on this are employed by the party and do this part of the time. So it’s clear we have a responsibility for that, he says and continues:

– It is clear that there are individual publications that can be considered gross or minor, but on the whole it is quite harmless.
