Jim Carrey wants to play the Grinch again, but only on one condition

During the Christmas season, The Grinch appears again and again in the Netflix top 10 as a wonderfully nasty classic of the genre. This probably leaves many fans wondering why there was never a sequel.

Lead actor Jim Carrey recently addressed exactly this question and revealed the conditions under which he did so Christmas-hating, green goblin would like to play again would.

Jim Carrey would do The Grinch 2 if he could embody the character differently

In a recent interview with Comic Book on the occasion of Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s theatrical release, Carrey said that he would only play the Grinch without having to apply large amounts of makeup:

Oh God, you know, if we could do that with the Grinch. The thing is, I did this with a ton of makeup on and I could barely breathe. It was an extremely painful process. The children were on my mind the whole time. “It’s for the kids.” It’s for the children. It’s for the children.’ And now, with motion capture and things like that, I could have the freedomto do other things. Everything is possible in this world.
