Jill Johnson: “Really hard”

She started to forget things, her period stopped, and one of her hands fell asleep every night. Soon, she also started having cramps, which caused major problems during the filming in warm Nashville in 2019.

– Every twenty minutes we had to stop filming because I was dying. It was really hard, she tells Femina.

Jill Johnson sought treatment for three years

For three years she sought treatment for her ailments and finally learned that she was in pre-menopause.

– All of a sudden someone understood and I got help, she says the newspaper and continues:

– It is not really wise what we are exposed to. Menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth and then a period of breastfeeding. And then you do it a few times with your body and then when you’re done and finally get to relax, this happens. I didn’t get more than five years from the last breastfeeding to the onset of pre-menopause. What amazing creatures we women are, and to think that with all this we have a partner, career and full time job. We women need to talk to each other when it comes to the body. In some ways we are on the same journey but at the same time are unique.
