Jessica von Bredow-Werndl won the Top 10 dressage

World number one Jessica von Bredow-Werndl has dominated the sport emphatically in recent years. At home, fresh gold medals from the Olympics, World Championships and European Championships are crammed into the prize cabinet with a variety of other physical evidence of her special status right now.

As sky-high favorite, she and Dalera delivered on the fiber sand. 90.295 was enough for victory, ahead of Dane Nanna Skodborg Merrald on Zepter who the judges gave 89.625. Veteran Isabell Werth came third on Emilio.

– I had a very good feeling. Better than yesterday and the first limp was much better, the changes were very good. I only had a small “hiccup” in a trot extension but overall she felt very good and what I wanted to change from yesterday worked. I am super happy, she says at the press conference.

Nilshagen best Swedish

Just like in Saturday’s grand prix, Therese Nilshagen finished fourth in the pack a day later.

Nilshagen, who grew up in Vällingby, received well-deserved roaring applause when she limped with Dante Weltino.

The 85.300 percent was not terribly far from her own Swedish record in the free program. When the duo came sixth in the European Championship in Riesenbeck in September, they scored 86.132.

– It feels very good to be able to end the year this well and in front of the home crowd as well, says Nilshagen to tidningenridsport.se

Patrik Kittel finished fifth with 84.385 on Touchdown. Third Swede in the starting field was Maria von Essen. She debuted in the invitational competition and came eighth on Invoice with 77.200 percent.
