Cover of Jessica Nelson's novel

“Paris, 1917. A very young boy rushes to join his mistress, ten years his senior. He wants to go fast, too fast. He does not yet know that he carries within him the genius of literature and that his career of comet will mingle with the destinies of Coco Chanel, Max Jacob, Picasso, Breton and Aragon, and especially that of Jean Cocteau… But he is convinced that he has great things to accomplish and little time to achieve them.Raymond Radiguet , future author of The Devil in the Body, will familiarize himself with the stars and burn himself there.

Jessica L. Nelson brings to life a cultural and intellectual era, that of the immediate post-war period of 1914-1918, through the subtle portrait of a character whose name, a century after his death, still resounds like a legend.” (Presentation of the editions Albin Michael)
