– They were going for a regular routine check-up, but it ended in an emergency caesarean section, says Jesper to TV4 Nyheterna.
– It feels awful not to be able to get there, he continues.
He says that the partner and the child are doing well and that he now longs to meet them.
– The first thing I will do when I get free is go straight to the hospital and meet them.
Jesper thinks he will soon be freed as the plow trucks are in place and plowing the road.
Traffic was diverted
Late in the afternoon, a truck got stuck on a hill on E22 in the southbound direction southwest of Kristianstad. Other trucks and a number of cars remained behind it. The stretch of road was closed.
– We have been issued a so-called TMA car that will pull the trucks away, and we are diverting the traffic, said Bengt Olsson, press manager at the Swedish Transport Administration, to TV4 Nyheterna.
Also on the E6 in the northbound direction at the height of Landskrona, several trucks are standing still, something that has a major impact on traffic.
