The interpreter of Hawkeye in the Marvel films (and more particularly the Avengers) was hospitalized in emergency and would be in a “critical but stable” state according to his agent . The 52-year-old actor was clearing snow from his home in the Mt Rose Highway area of Nevada at the time of the crash. Lhe local sheriff claims that Jeremy Renner was rescued with a “traumatic injury” and is the only one involved in the crash.
The Hollywood Reporter, quoting his spokesperson, tells us that the interpreter of Hawkeye underwent two surgeries Monday in the intensive care unit and suffers from “trauma to the torso and orthopedic injuries” . The tabloid TMZ gives more details on the circumstances of the accident suffered by Jeremy Renner, based on testimonies from people present at the time of the tragedy. The actor was driving a snow groomer to clear access to his house, and the machine reportedly rolled over one of his legs during the maneuver. He “lost a lot of blood”, specifies the media. A neighbor, who is also a doctor, was able to put a tourniquet on him before help arrived.
According to Sergeant Kristin Vietti, of Washoe County, Nevada, United States, who also confided in Deadline, the police were contacted for “a traumatic injury in the Mt. Rose Highway area”, not far from the city of Reno, around 9 am on the first day of the year. The actor was reportedly airlifted to a local hospital. And the police clarified that Jeremy Renner “was the only party involved in the incident”.

Nonetheless, the Reno Gazette-Journal reports that the area where the incident occurred was hit by a winter storm on New Year’s Eve. Storm which would have notably caused power cuts. The newspaper reports that 35,000 households living in several counties located in northern Nevada were thus left without electricity.
