Jere Forsberg shined in the ranking round of Paris para

Archer Jere Forsberg was in excellent shape at the Paris Paralympics on Thursday, when he finished third in the ranking round of the men’s open bow category.

697 points shot Jer Forsberg will start Friday’s first playoff round from a good position, as he will face the 30th-ranked Hong Kong Ngai Ka Chuen.

– It went really well. The whole day I was waiting for when it would start to get tense, but it didn’t start at any point, instead I felt calm, Forsberg said in the Paralympic Committee’s press release.

The second Finnish archer of the day Jean-Pierre Antonios on the other hand, finished tenth in the ranking round of the W1 class of the men’s bow. Antonios shot 633 points in the competition of 13 athletes.

Antonios will face Italy in the first elimination round on Sunday Paolo Tononiwhose ranking was seventh.
