After a day in which the president of South Korea imposed martial law in the country, which was later voted down in parliament, the continuation of the political crisis in the country is uncertain.
Kim Jeongwon, 33, has previously lived in Sweden when he studied a master’s degree at a Swedish university. Now he lives again in his native South Korea and in the capital Seoul, where he works in the field of sustainability.
He describes today’s event as unimaginable.
– I cannot understand that something like this happens in a democracy, he says.
