Jens Stoltenberg becomes the Norwegian Finance Minister Brief news

According to Norwegian media, Stoltenberg will be appointed new Minister of Finance in the country on Tuesday.

Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will become Norway’s new Minister of Finance on Tuesday as part of government reform, Norwegian says NRKSwedish magazine Dn mixed Financial Times.

65-year-old Stoltenberg served as Prime Minister in Norway from 2000 to 2001 and 2005-2013.

Stoltenberg represents the Norwegian Labor Party.

The Norwegian two party’s government broke down last week when a minority center party withdrew from the coalition with the Labor Party. The reason was the disagreement about energy policy.

The EU-Skeptical Central Party did not want to accept the adaptation of EU energy regulations.

The Norwegian parliamentary elections will be held in September.
