Jeffrey Dean Morgan is best known to The Walking Dead fans as Negan. He played in the mother series and in the spin-off The Walking Dead: Dead City ruthless leader of the Saviors and then an ally of our heroes. However, filming wasn’t always pleasant for Morgan. Because he sustained several nasty injuries.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan should have worn different shoes on The Walking Dead
As Screen Rant reports, Jeffrey Dean Morgan had an unpleasant experience while filming Season 11 of The Walking Dead. As a result of various jumps on set, the actor pulled one serious injury to:
I think I just wasn’t wearing the right shoes and jumped and landed a few times. At first it was just a hairline crack. And then it got worse. The bones in my heel are no longer smooth.
It took a while for Jeffrey Dean Morgan to realize that the pain in his feet was due to that both feet are broken were. Due to the lack of good quality shoes, the initial hairline crack turned into two broken feet due to repeated stress on the bones. However, the operation was thwarted by another injury.
Regardless of the foot fracture, Jeffrey Dean Morgan suffered one while filming a commercial shortly afterwards Inguinal hernia. The planned foot operation had to be postponed and the die-hard actor still wanted to go through with his filming plans:
I wanted to be between [The Walking Dead] and [Dead City] have surgery. I had about three months and went to Spain to shoot a commercial. And I had one [Leistenbruch]that happened to me. So I had to have surgery, and I thought: ‘Fuck it all. My foot will have to survive.’
Luckily, it didn’t stop the actor from performing as Negan in his spin-off series The Walking Dead: Dead City. Dead City was even extended for a second season – so despite all the injuries, Jeffrey Dean Morgan will stay with us as Negan for a while.
