Jean Rouaud writing before and after the Goncourt Prize

Publication in 1990 of Champs d’Honneur which won the Goncourt Prize. Four books follow which constitute, with the first, the cycle of the “Book of the Dead”. Comedy of Autumn ends the third cycle, entitled “Poetic Life”, which retraces a journey entirely focused on writing and its anchoring in a given moment in its history. At the same time, the author developed another cycle which he entitled “Magical Thinking”, which combines reflection and story.
