Trump’s vice-presidential candidate has commented on the issue during the election campaign only in an evasive manner.
Republican Party Vice Presidential Candidate JD Vance has given his extraordinarily candid take on the outcome of the 2020 US presidential election.
Vance is for months refrained from commenting matter, after Donald Trump chose him as his partner. Wednesday question was presented again Vance at a campaign event in Pennsylvania.
– What message do you think it sends to uncommitted voters that you don’t directly answer the question “Did Donald Trump lose in 2020?”, the reporter asked.
Vance first commented on the matter, saying that he had already answered the question “a million times”, but then continued:
– No. I think there were serious problems in 2020. So, did Donald Trump lose the election? I wouldn’t use those words.
It is the first time that Vance directly claims during the presidential election campaign – like Trump, without grounds – that the 2020 elections were fraudulent.
The matter was also asked of Vance, among other things, in the debate of the vice presidential candidates held at the beginning of October Tim Walz against. At the time, Vance only commented on the matter, saying he was focusing on the future.
In an interview with The New York Times magazine, Vance repeatedly refused to admit Joe Biden won in the 2020 elections. However, in the interview, Vance did not directly claim that the election was dishonest.
Trump: Attack on Congress “Day of Love”
In 2021, the United States Congress came under an extraordinary attack.
Thousands of Trump supporters occupied the congressional building and wanted to prevent the confirmation of Biden’s election victory.
At least five people died in the riot, and several dozen were injured.
At a rally for Latino voters on Wednesday, Trump called the events a “day of love.”
According to Trump, only the other side was armed and he said he had no direct involvement in the events.
