According to sites like Rotten Tomatoes, not every film impresses with its intoxicating quality. The fantasy action comes from Uwe Boll, who repeatedly provoked extreme reactions with films such as Postal, Rampage or Auschwitz. Many critics consider a large part of his filmography to be inferior craftsmanship. And Swords of the King is no exception: Among many other negative reviews, the Hollywood Reporter gives the film a “horrible script and incompetent direction“.
