At least since the end of James Bond 007 – No Time to Die the hunt for the next James Bond has been on. Names are traded and discarded. Idris Elba has already canceled, the successor still seems open despite recurring Bond casting rumors. Actually, I think the series should end after Daniel Craig. But since that’s obviously not going to happen, I have an alternative suggestion: Take Jason Statham!
There are obvious ones Things that speak for Statham as Bond. He is British. He seems equal parts eccentric and dangerous. And he’s got the kind of face that looks like it’s carved out of some absurdly hard substance — like diamond nut wood (it’s real!) or mashed potatoes dried to the rim of a pot. This also applies to a lot of other Hollywood stars. However, there are 2 things that clearly make Jason Statham the perfect next 007.
Jason Statham is the perfect James Bond because he can do absolutely anything
Anyone who wants to jet around the world on behalf of Her Majesty and put a stop to super villains, needs one quite a wide skill set. This not only applies to the James Bond character, but also to the real person who slips into his tailored suits and sweat-soaked battle outfits.

Luckily, Jason Statham’s impressive career in action has already proven that he has the perfect package. And not just because he does many of his own stunts – at least the humanly possible ones.
4 movies that prove Jason Statham is perfect for the Bond series:
The Italian Job – Hunt for millions: Jason Statham drives chases in crowded streets and narrow alleys of a European holiday metropolis -> elementary important for every Bond
Crank: Jason Statham performs under the highest pressure and is so attractive to women that they have sex with him in public places so that his heart doesn’t skip -> whole new possibilities for Bond girls
The Mechanic: Jason Statham, as an agent/assassin for a morally dubious organization, kills targets extremely effectively and with all the means at his disposal -> sounds like MI6, doesn’t it?
Meg 2: The Deep: Jason Statham dives 25,000 feet bare-bones as if he were a human super submarine -> enables gilled Bond villains
The Meg star may finally be bringing the silliness back to 007 following Daniel Craig’s exit
Let’s stay with Meg 2, the (even sillier) sequel to the film series, in which the believed-to-extinct Megalodon species of basking shark snacks through international waters. Amid increasingly twisted storylines, the consistently unimpressed Jason Statham proves why he’s the logical future of the Bond franchise: he could bring the silliness back to the ranks.
Because let’s be honest: 007 is a wild shagging rake who, drunk (shaken, not stirred!), fights his way through luxury real estate and with exploding toothpaste, crocodile submarines and invisible cars has an arsenal of gadgets that feels like a logical progression from the plastic spy toys that previously came with Mickey Mouse.

Daniel Craig was a fantastic Bond, who gave the iconic agent completely new depths. If the action series doesn’t want to become completely melancholic and dark, the only logical step is to bring more lightness back into the franchise in the future. Jason Statham is the perfect blend of Craig’s stoic suffering and the nonchalance that Pierce Brosnan exuded even in the face of utter silliness.
who one Stop the T-Rex-eating Super Shark with the power of his thigh muscles can, can also drink martinis hanging from the helicopter while in the background the nuclear arsenal of a small dictatorial state is being sunk into the sea. So please producer Barbara Broccoli: Take Jason Statham and make James Bond silly again!
