In cinemas, Jason Momoa last shook up the Fast & Furious 10 gang as a villain and will soon return as a superhero badass in Aquaman: Lost Kingdom. But he had to work a long time on his combative image. For this he even took a beating from a friend at the beginning of his film career.
Jason Momoa let a friend beat him up for his movie career
After his early series appearances in Baywatch and Stargate: Atlantis, Jason Momoa was not yet an action hero. The Hawaiian actor wanted to change that in the 2011 remake of Conan by Marcus Nispel. The defensive barbarian should help him to shake off his reputation as a pretty boy.
For this the actor had the idea hit his face and break his nose to permit. What Jason Momoa didn’t expect was that the friend he pitched his idea to immediately put the theory into practice:

Jason Momoa as Conan
I wanted my nose for the role [von Conan] break, but didn’t know how. I said to a friend, ‘I have this idea. I think you should break my nose. Would you do that?’ My buddy did it right away, dammit. After it was over I said to him, ‘Dude, didn’t you want to think about it for a minute?’ But we’re guys and he was like, ‘You don’t have to ask me twice about that. That’s a done deal.’ But please don’t tell my wife about it.
Ultimately, the blow left no permanent damage. Also, Jasom Momoa received some fake scars for his full Conan makeup, so his appearance was roughened up a bit anyway.
Jason Momoa’s prominent eyebrow scar comes from a previous bar fight in the 2000s, in which a man who was subsequently sentenced to five years in prison smashed a large glass in his face. For this, the star had to be sewn up with 140 stitches and undergo reconstructive surgery.
