Kalle Järvilehto finished fourth in the snowboarding world cup big air competition in Austria with a handsome third-round jump.
Kalle Järvilehto got 83.50 points for his jump in the third round in the Kreischberg evening final and raised his total score of two jumps to 163.25.
For Järvilehto, 29, fourth place is the best in big Air in more than five years.
He has been second in jumping once and third three times, but those places are from 2017-2019. On Saturday, the prize place was 5.5 points away from Järvilehto.
The Asian competitors dominated the final, as China jumped to victory Yang WenlongJapan’s second Taiga Hasegawa and thirdly Japan Kira Kimura. The winner Yang got a handsome 96.50 points for his third jump.
From Finns Erik Jurmu made his debut in the World Cup, but was eliminated from the ten-man final.
