Already in 1988 began Jaromir Jagr play senior hockey in Czech Kladno. At 35, he has not only become one of hockey’s absolute greatest players of all time, but he is still playing as a 50-year-old.

It was a total of 24 seasons in the world’s best hockey league and a sensational 1,921 points in 1,733 games in the NHL for the Czech icon. With those incredible numbers, Jagr is second on the list of all-time NHL scorers, beaten only by the impossible Wayne Gretzky.

But now Jagr has actually surpassed Gretzky himself for another mighty record. This weekend, the 50-year-old scored goal number 1,099, see below, in his career in all matches at professional level, which means that he passes number 99 and enters the history books forever.

Jaromir Jagr is now the hockey player who has scored the most goals at the professional level of all time. An incredibly impressive feat after the record long belonged to the hard-to-beat Wayne Gretky and we have a new goal king in hockey history.

It was in Sunday’s match for Kladno in the Czech top league Extraliga that the national hero scored the historic goal, see it below. The 50-year-old has this season scored 11 points in 19 games for his parent club Kladno.
