Jaromir Jagr breaks the mighty record – the 52-year-old continues to write hockey history and refuses to quit

Czech legend Jaromir Jagr has turned 52 – but is not finished with his hockey career.

He became the oldest player in the history of professional hockey for his Kladno – the club he owns – in the relegation qualifiers of the Czech league, Czech media write.

Also did Jaromir Jagr a goal and an assist in the 7–2 win over Vsetin.

Jagr, 52 years and 63 days old, thus passed Gordie Howe who was 52 years and 11 days old when he finished his NHL career with the Hartford Whalers.

Jaromir Jagr played 24 NHL seasons and was a two-time Stanley Cup champion. He has also won an Olympic gold and two WC gold.
