Japan’s inflation falls marginally in March

Japan current account deficit beyond expectations in January

(Finance) – Record a small slowdown inflation in Japan. According to the National Statistics Office, the consumer price index (CPI) in March 2023 recorded a change equal to +3.2% year on year, in line with the consensuscompared to +3.2% in February.

The data on a monthly basis however, it highlights a 0.4% increase, higher than the +0.1% of the consensus, and after the -0.6% of February.

The given corewhich excludes the food component, registers a +3.1% on a year-on-year basis, as expectedin line with the previous month’s change.
