(Finance) – Improved sentiment for Japanese companies. This is what emerges from a quarterly survey from Bank of Japan.
In the 4th quarter of 2023, lTankan index relating to large manufacturing companies in fact, it rose to 12 points from 9 points in the previous period and is also higher than analysts’ expectations (10 points).
That of large non-manufacturing businesses it rose to 30 points from 27, while that of small manufacturing businesses went to 9 points from 20.
It should be noted that a value less than zero indicates that pessimistic companies are more numerous than optimistic ones.
