Japan joins the list of countries halting aid to the UN agency Unrwa following allegations that its staff were involved in the Hamas attacks on Israel in October.
Japan’s foreign ministry said in a statement that it was “extremely concerned” about the alleged involvement of UNWRA staff in the terrorist attack.
Several of the largest donors to the organization, including the United States and Germany, have already announced the suspension of aid to UNRWA.
