(Finance) – Japan’s trade balance closed in surplus in June.
According to Ministry of Finance of Japan (MOF), the seasonally adjusted trade balance recorded a surplus of 43.048 billion yen. The figure compares with the red of about 1,372.5 billion yen in May, while in June 2022 there was a deficit of 1,374.99 billion. Market expectations pointed to a deficit falling to 46.7 billion yen.
In terms of volumes, the export reports a trend increase of 1.5% to 8,744.06 billion yen, while the imports they recorded a drop of 12.9% to 8.701 billion yen.
