Japan is now investing in nuclear power again, eleven years after the Fukushima accident.
A new plan that was launched on Thursday involves, among other things, that the operating time should be extended to more than 60 years for existing reactors.
The government also plans to restart a series of nuclear power plants that were closed after Fukushima and invest in the development of next-generation reactors, writes the AP news agency.
The accident was caused by an earthquake and a tsunami and caused, among other things, Germany to decide to phase out nuclear power.
