Japan halts industrial production in December

(Finance) – Sharp slowdown in production of Japanese factories in December. According to the final estimate of the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry (METI), the seasonally adjusted index of industrial production fell by 1%. In the previous month, industrial activity had grown by 7%.

On an annual basis, the non-seasonally adjusted figure for production is up by 2.7%.

The deliveries recorded a + 2.8% and the stocks a + 5% on a monthly basis. There inventory / sales ratio shows a variation of -0.5%.
