Japan August manufacturing PMI still contracting

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Manufacturing activity in Japan confirms a contraction. The Jibun Bank manufacturing PMI, published by S&P Global, indicates a value of 49.6 points, unchanged from July, and just below the 49.7 points expected by analysts.

The indicator thus remains below the critical threshold of 50 points for the third consecutive month, the dividing line between the phase of contraction – values ​​below – and expansion – values ​​above.
