Hammarby had full control of the derby at the Stockholm stadium. Until the 65th minute when the national team star pushed Djurgården’s Matilda Plan.
Janogy was shown the red card and was devastated afterwards.
— I push her after the referee has blown. In retrospect, with hindsight, it is clear that I am sorry and it is unnecessary, she tells TT.
Plan was all the more pleased that the plan was locked.
— I don’t know what she was thinking, but I made her lose her head, so I have to be satisfied with that. That’s always my goal when I face forwards.
“Isn’t boxing”
According to “Bajen” coach Pablo Piñones-Arce, Plan should also have been warned.
“It felt hard there and then, especially when they don’t get a card in the situation,” he says.
However, Plan himself is incomprehensible to Piñones-Arce’s reasoning.
— I don’t know what I’m going to get a yellow card for. I have my arms down and then I get hit in the chest. I didn’t think she would lose it like that, I was a little surprised. It was absolutely right with a red card, it’s not boxing we run.
In the Hammarby camp, they thought the expulsion was harshly judged.
— It is hard. I’m in a good position to watch and I think it’s a duel where both should wear yellow, says midfielder Julia Roddar.
Supported by colleague
Janogy himself had a chat with both referee Tess Olofsson and his own team afterwards.
— She says it’s a blow, but I was clear that I push with an open palm. It’s not right either but it was in the heat of the moment. I have spoken to the team and apologized.
Janogy also says that she received support from national team teammate Matilda Vinberg in the dressing room after Vinberg was replaced.
— It means a lot. Very nice of her.
