Sinner is the first Italian man to advance to the US Open final.

Italian Jannik Sinner has advanced to the US Open men’s singles final in tennis. Sinner beat Britain in the semi-final match Jack Draper’s set 7–5, 7–6 (7–3), 6–2.

– Jack and I know each other well, we are good friends off the field, Sinner said according to news agency AFP.

The Italian described the match as very physical.

– It is very difficult to beat him (Draper), so I am very excited to have made it to the finals, Sinner continued.

– The final will be a very tough challenge, no matter who I play against.

Sinner is the first Italian man to advance to the US Open final. He will face the winner of the American duo in the final match Taylor FritzFrances Tiafoe.

Sinner is in first place on the world list. The Italian has already won one grand slam tournament earlier this year, the Australian Open at the beginning of the year.
