Janne Andersson ended up in a hugely publicized fight with Bojan Djordjic.
Now reveals the confederation captain Zlatan’s beautiful words afterwards.

Sweden had just won against Azerbaijan 5-0 and Janne Andersson was in a great mood when he went to the studio of the broadcasting company, Viaplay. Once there, Bojan Djordjic asked a question about Jesper Karlsson’s playing time – and then the national team captain saw red.
Huge fuss
It degenerated into one of the most noticed TV fights in Swedish history, and just about everyone liked the minutes when Janne and Bojan argued loudly on live TV. Now months have passed, and then Janne Andersson takes the opportunity to reveal what Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was in the national team, thought of the whole thing. And not entirely unexpectedly, Zlatan made a good joke of it.

– I usually also bring up this media table. Where it says who are the most articles written about in Sports Sweden. There, representatives from the men’s national team are always at the top. I haven’t seen numbers from 2022, but if you look at 2021, Zlatan wins before me, quite narrowly. Then there is Dejan Kulusevski, Alexander Isak, Victor Nilsson Lindelöf, Emil Forsberg and so on. It was still an Olympic year in which Sweden had enormous success. But I show that table to show how many people are interested in what we do, Andersson tells Aftonbladet.

Zlatan’s words
And it was precisely this that Ibrahimovic poked Andersson with.
– Zlatan told me (about the fight) that “it was only because you will overtake me in the table”, says Andersson, and continues:
– It was quite funny actually. I’ve been past him for a few years, but he’s usually number one. Then we joke about it. “It’s just so you can overtake me”.
Overall, Janne Andersson felt enormous support from all sides after the fight. Also from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
– Yes… the players in general and people. I have received a negative message after this. One of hundreds. Several players have contacted us as well. But I’m not happy with how it turned out as damned.
