Janne Andersson breaks the silence about Zlatan – that’s why the national team captain hasn’t spoken to “Ibra”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had a very tough spring.
Now Janne Andersson breaks the silence about the Swedish star.
And reveals why he hasn’t even spoken to the 41-year-old recently.

Earlier this year did Zlatan Ibrahimovic long-awaited comeback again after a long absence due to injury and rehabilitation. The 41-year-old returned to both Milan and the Swedish national team, but the joy of being back would unfortunately be short-lived.

Notice about Zlatan

“Ibra” was forced to cancel the last national team meeting due to a new injury against Belgium. It led to a new absence for around a month and recently the Swede made a comeback again, but then he was forced to break already during the warm-up and many believe that the season is over for the attacking star.

A new European Championship qualifying match for Sweden against Austria is soon to come, and Zlatan’s participation there is highly uncertain. Confederation captain Janne Andersson now breaks the silence about Ibra and reveals why he hasn’t even spoken to the national team Swede.
– I have been waiting and hoping that Zlatan will get started. I will have a contact with him in the near future but I have wanted to wait a little and hope that he will recover. Now I don’t really know what the status is with him that way, Janne tells SportExpressen and emphasizes that it is out of pure respect that he did not want to talk to Zlatan.

Janne’s honest words

The big question is also whether Zlatan will even continue to play football next season. Janne Andersson now answers that question with honest words.
– I don’t want to speculate on that. I think somewhere that he might think like many others that you don’t want to end with an injury. I think it’s a frustration that you don’t get the chance to choose when you want to quit. So I had reasoned. I’m not saying that Zlatan reasons like that, but I can imagine that he reasons like that because many people probably do. You want to choose for yourself when to stop. We’ll simply have to see, says the national team captain in the interview.

The Swedish national team coach also has an uncertain future himself, where the current contract with Blågult is valid for the upcoming European Championship 2024. The 60-year-old is currently in his seventh year as national team captain for Sweden.
– The goal is to get to the EC. Then we take it from there. I don’t think about it that way. Of course there is some thought in the back of my mind, but I put it away because I want to be here and now to make it as good as possible. If you want to continue with elite sports, I think it is a very important quality not to look too far ahead and not to dwell on what has been, but to be in the present, says Janne to the evening newspaper.
