Janne Andersson and Bojan Djordjic have now met after the huge fight: “It got emotional”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Janne Andersson and Bojan Djordjic broke up on TV.
Now the duo have met – and reconciled.
– We both feel complicity in the fact that things did not go well on Monday, says confederation captain Janne Andersson.

It was after Sweden’s 5-0 win in the EC qualifiers on Monday that Janne Andersson roared at Bojan Djordjic in Viasat’s studio. Bojan Djordjic wondered why Jesper Karlsson, who showed dream form after the turn of the year, only got eight minutes of play. Janne Andersson was furious, and stormed away from the studio.

Have now met

Afterwards, much of the aftermath has been about criticism from both sides. Janne Andersson held a press conference where he apologised, and above all he lashed out at those who believed that there were racist undertones in what Andersson said to Djordjic, especially in a matter of representation. Andersson also said that he had searched for Bojan, but without success.

But now the duo have met – and reconciled. Swedish Football put out a press release on Wednesday afternoon that Djordjic and Andersson met and talked about what happened.

– We had a good and warm talk and both feel complicity in the fact that things did not go well on Monday. That’s why it was extra nice to see each other and clean up this incident in an honest way and we did it with heart and understanding for each other, says confederation captain Janne Andersson.

“Deep and nice conversation”

Janne Andersson believes that the matter is now settled and that they both feel understood and finished with the matter.

– We agree to move on and thus the matter is settled, Andersson continues.

Bojan Djordjic says that the meeting, which is said to have lasted for just over an hour, was special, and was about much more than just disagreements about football.

– It was a long, deep and nice conversation where we reached a consensus with forgiveness on both sides. What happened between us is now acted out. It was important to me that Janne was genuinely interested in my life story and wanted to understand my reaction and feeling, even though we come from different generations and from different backgrounds. This meeting turned out to be more fruitful than I even thought beforehand, where football was actually what we talked about the least, says the expert.
