Utrecht – For more than 20 years, professor Jan Lagendijk at UMC Utrecht has been working on an MRI machine that can not only scan, but also irradiate at the same time. Now he is retiring with a heavy heart. His invention, which he further developed with a team of researchers, is now used worldwide. It is also called operating without cutting.
