I’m thrilled to announce the start of filming on SUPERMAN today, February 29th, which coincidentally and unplanned falls on Superman’s birthday. When I finished the first draft of the script, I called the film Superman: Legacy. When I finished the final draft, it was clear that the title was SUPERMAN. We will be on our way to you in July 2025.
The Hollywood Reporter also spotted a possible plot detail with the snowy Superman suit logo. Parts of Gunn’s DC film may take place in the iconic one Fortress of Solitude from the comics.
