The visit to Kvickbadet started nicely for James. Excursion with mother Michaela Malmgren and little sister. Play and jump in the water.
But it ended with chaos, panic and a torn and violently bleeding foot that had to be sewn with 22 stitches.
– I was scared – it just splattered blood, says James Malmgren.
And now a summer without football awaits with the team in Brunnby.
“My mother’s heart hurt so much”
Because beneath the surface of the beach was a broken wine bottle that someone had thrown away. The nine-year-old stepped straight on the sharp pieces when he was going up again after a jump.
– My mother’s heart hurt so much when I saw it, says Michaela Malmgren.
Höganäs municipality has reported the littering with the bottle to the police.
