James Cameron’s mega-blockbuster Avatar 2: The Way of Water is so successful primarily because it cast audiences in a impressive visual world immerse. The director works on the technical effects for years in order to constantly surpass himself and the success proves him right every time.

Now are Concept Designs appeared in the first Avatar part for main character Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) as Na’vi. They show once again clearly how much the technology has developed to this day.

Avatar concept images look cheap compared to part 2

According to Screen Rant, artist Joseph C. Pepe has shared new concept art of Avatar on Instagram, which includes a early version by Jake Sully show:

In addition to the significantly darker color, the pictures again show the technical leap if you look at Jake Sully’s Na’vi now in the sci-fi sequel. Compared to the 2006 draft, the current version of the Avatar character comes across as impressive and almost photorealistic animated therefore.

When is Avatar 3 in cinemas?

We’ll see more of Jake Sully and the planet Pandora in the next part of James Cameron’s sci-fi universe. Avatar 3 is scheduled for December 18, 2024 come to the cinema.
