For many Swedes, it is obvious that SVT profiles Jacob Hård and Anders Blomquist belong together.
After almost 30 years together in the box, Hård now reveals what he thinks of his colleague.
1986 began Jacob Hard70, to work at Sveriges Television after some time at Radiosporten. He is now really associated with public service and his voice is one of the most recognized in the whole country.
Jacob Hård has turned 70 years old
Despite the fact that he turned 70 this weekend and that age is starting to take its toll on his body – Hård suffers from osteoarthritis in his knees and cataracts in his eyes – he still works. He actually retired in February last year, but has continued as a freelancer for SVT.
– The number 70 feels absurd and unreal. Just ten years ago, 70-year-olds felt like old people, but it’s just to see the truth in the white eye, that I have left middle age and entered another phase, he tells Sportbladet.

The commentator mainly works with cross-country skiing and athletics, but since Max had the rights to show the Olympics this summer, he missed the chance to commentate Armand Duplantis mighty Olympic gold. He would have liked to do that. But when SVT released the rights for the Olympics from next year, Hård dreams of the next Olympics.
– That is of course the case. We haven’t written an agreement that extends that far yet, but I hope so.

Since 1995, he has been camping together with the former skier Anders Blomquist64. After almost 30 years together, it would be natural that the duo had time to miss each other. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. According to Jacob Hård, they still have a lot of fun at work. Something that surely keeps them together for so long.
– It’s pretty cool that it’s been so long and that it still feels so good and that we’re fit and hungry. If you want to work together for 30 years, you have to have fun, and we have that, he says.
