Hogwarts Legacy: The Jackdaw’s Rest quest is a main quest that requires you to find the corpse of Richard Jackdaw and the missing pages.

To start, follow the destination sign along the way to the Forbidden Forest. When you reach the point you need to reach, you will have to wait. This waiting time is intended to be immediately night.

At night, Richard Jackdaw appears. Go to him and start talking. He says he will show you the way near the cave where he died, but he can’t get to that point because he’s afraid. It will give you some clues so you can find the exact location. He states that on our way there will be a stone bridge, a waterfall, a lake and a bird pond.

Follow him. A short time later, at the beginning of a bifurcated road, he leaves you saying that the closer he gets to the place where he died, the more details he remembers. You have to continue on the road by going right and until you find the bird pool.

After a very short progress, you reach the lake. We recommend that you make visible the items you can collect around with the Revelio spell. Continue on your way through the forest by climbing up the side of the lake to the right. When you come to a building made of stacked stones, use the Revelio spell to include Puffskein in your collection.

By continuing in the direction of the cursor, you will reach Jackdaw’s tomb. Just say the magic password (Intra muros) to the bird pool located at the entrance and open the gate right across it.

When you move towards the gate, creatures from the grave will attack you. So be prepared. After killing them you can enter the cave where you can reach Jackdaw’s corpse.

When you enter the contents, you will realize that you are inside a much larger cave than expected. Moreover, time has turned from night to day. We won’t tell you one by one, but you will see moonstones around as you progress. Do not forget to collect them.

Keep moving forward until you come to the abyss. Immediately on your right, you will see the gate protected by the runes. Shoot all three. Then you will see the bridge formed in the direction you will continue with an intermediate cinematic.

Go through the door and continue on your way. You can continue on your way by blowing up the obstacles such as spider webs. Of course, these webs also show that there are spiders waiting to attack. Be prepared.

A challenge opens as soon as you spot spiders. You need to kill 10 units. Be careful. They are outnumbered and can escape under the ground occasionally.

After destroying them, continue on your way. When you come to a large area again, other spiders will be waiting for you. After destroying them, come to the door on the right side of the field with two runes. Shooting the runes will open the door.

But don’t worry when you find it’s not opening because there’s a third one to hit. You will see it when you look towards the top left of the rune on the left.

When you hit it, you will see another bridge open. Go through the door and keep going. If you don’t attack them when you come to the room full of spiders, they won’t attack you either. If you don’t want to waste time, you can proceed quickly.

An abyss will appear before us. There is a panel floating in the middle of it. Summon him towards you with the Accio spell. When you get on it, aim at the opposite handle and make the panel move with the Accio spell. You will cross.

Watch out for spiders as you pass by. After destroying them, there is a chest in the alcove on the right a little ahead. You can open it. As you continue to progress, you will come to a large room. Climb the wall on your left by jumping. After exiting, continue to the right. When you take a few steps, don’t forget to open the chest on your left.

Then you can go down again. Now we have a puzzle to solve. You should reach the point seen in the first picture below. To do this, move to the position in the second image and move the panel to the middle of the room twice. Then proceed to the hill just behind it and jump on it. When you attract other panels embedded in the walls with magic, you will move towards them. With this method, you can reach the location in the image and enter the room.

After collecting the items here, climb back onto the floating panel and proceed to the opposite section. However, there are other small compartments and chests that you can find around. For this reason, we recommend using the Revelio spell. You can see more easily how you can progress.

If you’re sure you’ve collected all the chests and items, it’s time to move on. Spiders are waiting for you. We would love to be able to say, “You can either fight them or proceed directly to the opposite door,” but it is impossible to advance without destroying them all.

After finishing their work, we need to find three runes. The first of these is on the left down the path where the gate is located, the second is on the opposite wall to the right of the gate, and the last one is in the mini cave just below the hill where the gate is located.

After activating all these, a bridge will be formed and you will be able to cross. In the hall on the other side of the bridge you will find Richard Jackdaw’s body, search him for missing pages.

When you take the pages, you come across a last group of enemies. You have to look at their instructions. It won’t be easy. Be especially careful to use the protection spell and restore your health when necessary. Don’t forget to loot the chests and miscellaneous items on both sides of the hall after they’ve all been destroyed.

Finally, you will see the gateway in the hall. Examine the spell on the ground right in front of you and open the door. Go through the newly formed door.

It will flood the room you enter, but a magical bubble will keep you from drowning. Keep walking along the road and enter the new room and speak to the portrait of Percival Rackham. He will tell you to go and get the book, so go up the stairs from the map Room and you’ll be on a new path below Hogwarts.
