LEGO is a privately owned, family-owned company with headquarters in Billund, Denmark, but also has major offices in Enfield, London, Shanghai and Singapore. Founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen and based on the famous LEGO brick, it remains one of the world’s leading toy manufacturers. The word LEGO is a combination of the two Danish words ‘leg’ and ‘godt’, which means ‘play fun’.
