In Ivory Coast, justice confirmed on appeal the charges and sentences against two leaders of the opposition movement Générations et peuple solidaires (GPS) founded by former Prime Minister Guillaume Soro, Wednesday January 15. Mamadou Traoré and Kando Soumahoro were both sentenced to two years in prison in two separate cases.
