A word, a gesture and a silence

Born in Ivory Coast, Abdoulaye Trésor Konaté dreamed of becoming a doctor before finding his vocation: healing bodies and souls through dance. Based in France since 2013, he founded his company, ATeKa, in Strasbourg. Among his seven creations, there is the political history of “Sucre”, the cultural appropriation project “Our Bolero” and “Humming Birds”, an autobiographical solo born in 2016 and transformed in 2024 into a choreography for twelve Ivorian dancers, presented in its European premiere at the Francophonies festival in Limoges.
