Ivo stops all operations at Vårdcentralen Årby in Eskilstuna

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

It was in January that Region Sörmland terminated its agreement with Vårdcentralen Årby after the care provider did not follow decisions and rules. Among other things, the health center must have lacked a specialist in general medicine, despite the fact that the region has repeatedly pointed out that one must be in place.

Vårdcentralen sued Region Sörmland and said that the region had committed a serious breach of contract. According to the health center, they had one year to meet all the requirements to become a full-fledged health center. According to the region, however, this did not apply to the staffing that must be in place from day one. The case will be tried in the district court.

Risk to patients’ lives

After Region Sörmland terminated the agreement, the company behind the health center continued to conduct certain activities, such as tests and health checks, according to the region.

Ivo has now examined the case and decided to ban the company Amore Hemomsorg from all operations at the health center in Årby as it is believed that there is a significant risk to patients’ lives, health or personal safety. When SVT Sörmland reaches the company’s lawyer, he has not yet had time to familiarize himself with Ivo’s decision.

– The case regarding a serious breach of contract has nothing to do with Ivo’s decision and will be taken up by the district court. I have not had time to read through Ivo’s review yet, so I can not comment on it, says Erik Widman, lawyer.

The Årby Health Center had approximately 1,300 listed patients. The region must have listed all patients to other health centers.
