Serious deficiencies in 41 maternity wards in the country have not been rectified despite previous comments, according to the Inspection for Health and Care (IVO), reports Sweden’s Radio Ekot.
For example, the deficiencies are about how to handle emergency situations, but documentation and quality work are also identified.
27 of the departments do not live up to the legal requirements for good care. Eleven departments cannot guarantee good care in emergency situations, according to IVO.
