(Finance) – Between 7 and 11 November 2022, Iveco Group presents to Fenatran – one of the most important transport fairs in the world, held in San Paulin Brazil – a complete range of innovative, clean emission and sustainable transport solutions from the IVECO and FPT Industrial brands. IVECOthe fastest growing full liner commercial vehicle brand in Latin America – with sales

which have increased threefold in the past three years -, it is the first brand in Brazil to offer the market a “green” wallet complete in all segments in which it operates, reaffirming its commitment to global trends in urban mobility, innovation and sustainability.

As already announced, by 2025 Iveco Group will invest approximately 1 billion real (approximately US $ 200 million) to meet the rapidly changing needs of the region. Much of the amount is earmarked for the development of the Euro VI engine line, which meets the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Air Pollution Control Program (Proconve P8), which will become mandatory in 2023.

The Euro VI portfolio includes theIVECO Daily 35-160, the first Euro VI commercial vehicle presented to the Brazilian market which is positioned as a major player in the light vehicle segment and in the rapidly developing e-commerce sector. The Daily Hi-Matic, the first light cargo vehicle with automatic transmission and theeDAILYa fully electric version intended for urban missions.

In the segment of vehicles heavy, the S-WAY, just launched in Brazil, brings together strength, technology, comfort and safety in a modern and award-winning design that favors aerodynamics; overall, the model guarantees a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 15% compared to the previous range. The S-WAY powered a biomethane, with the best natural gas engine in its category and the best relative range, in addition to the significant reduction of CO2 emissions. For heavy and semi-heavy off-road missions, the IVECO Tector range is enriched with a methane version. Both S-WAY and Tector CNG models will be available in Brazil by the end of 2023.

As pressures on total cost of ownership increase, the brand is expanding its service offering in Latin America, helping operators meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. One of these services is IVECO ONone instrument digital aimed at maintaining the productivity of vehicles in the long term, already extensively tested in Europe with considerable success. Through a single portal, the operator is able to monitor, for example, fuel consumption and driving style, improving fleet performance thanks to a series of data.

Speaking at the inauguration of Fenatran, Gerrit Marx, CEO of Iveco Group, said: “We are strongly committed to achieving our environmental, social and financial objectives and to applying what is necessary to pave the way for an increasingly sustainable transport model, also here in Latin America. This is certainly a strategic region for Iveco Group and plays a fundamental role in our future success. It is one of the main areas on which our investments and growth are focused today, which will consolidate the Group’s commitment to continue to evolve our business in a region that continues to show enormous potential ”.

FPT Industrialanother Iveco Group brand and world leader in solutions powertrain, presents its advanced innovations to Fenatran. The division ePowertrain is at the forefront of a new generation of products including electric axles, central transmissions, modular batteries and battery management systems, and offers the public a “virtual experience” of its first ePowertrain facility, recently opened in Turin.

The brand’s focus on sustainable on-road propulsion is also manifested through the new XC13, a modular, multi-application “multi-energy” engine derived from the concept Cursor X and able to adapt to all market needs, from diesel to natural gas (including biomethane), hydrogen and renewable fuels. It is a single basic engine designed in multiple versions to offer maximum component standardization and easy integration into final products, while complying with increasingly stringent emissions regulations. At Fenatran the brand also launches “Original REMAN”, A complete line of remanufactured engines for on-road applications, actively supporting the transition to a true circular economy in the region.

From the propulsion electric with zero-emission battery, mainly for low-energy vehicles with extensions for heavy-duty applications on the road, up to the possibility of exploiting hydrogen as an energy carrier, FPT Industrial shows its current ability to offer long-term solutions to emissions zero for all types of energy needs when the market is ready.
