(Finance) – Iveco Group and Hyundai Motor Company have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore possible collaborations in terms of shared vehicle technology, joint procurement and reciprocal supplies. The understanding is a preliminary step in assessing the potential for the two groups of cooperation in the fields of technology and platforms, including components and systems. Areas of possible mutual concern include powertrains and electric platforms, including fuel cell systems, vehicle automation and connectivity for commercial vehicles.
The signing took place on March 4 at Hyundai Motor Company and was attended by among others Gerrit MarxCEO of Iveco Group, Marco LiccardoChief Technology & Digital Officer of Iveco Group, Jaehoon ChangPresident and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, e Martin ZeilingerExecutive Vice President and Head of Commercial Vehicle Development Tech Unit of Hyundai Motor Company.
