(Finance) – IDV, the brand of Iveco Group specialized in defense and civil protection vehicles, has signed a contract with the Brazilian Army for the supply of 420 light multi-role vehicles (Light Multirole Vehicles) LMV-BR 2 over a 10-year period, with the first units to be delivered in 2026. The value of the contract is 1.4 billion Brazilian reais (approximately 235 million euros at the current exchange rate).
This contract marks “another milestone in the partnership between the Brazilian Army and IDV“, whose solid cooperation has a long history, which includes the supply of 700 units of the 6×6 amphibious armored vehicle “Guarani” and 32 units of the LMV-BR vehicle, reads a statement. The new LMV-BR 2 vehicles, known in Brazil as “Guaicurus”, will be produced at the IDV plant in Sete Lagoas, Brazil.
