Most of the time, the process in New Game Plus is always the same: We take over our character, including his skills and the level at which we completed the first run. Starfield takes New Game Plus to a new level and gives us one of the craziest features we’ve ever seen in a game.
Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers for the ending and New Game Plus of Starfield. If you don’t want to hear about it yet, it’s best to come back at a later date.
What’s so crazy about that? Each time you play through Starfield, your score may change slightly. At the end of Starfield you enter a new version of the multiverse in which different circumstances may prevail.

However, not every playthrough is different, so you may have to complete the game 4 or 5 times before the universe change is triggered. To be on the safe side, you should save Starfield shortly before the end on the 4th or 5th run and run straight to the Constellation when the game is new.
If nothing has changed, you can simply reload the save and try again. However, you have to be patient as the final scene cannot be skipped completely.
This is how you can get money quickly in the new run in Starfield:
That changes with New Game Plus in Starfield
Is New Game Plus worth it for me? New Game Plus is always a good opportunity to catch up on missed side quests. But the changes described only seem to affect the Constellation. The rest of the game world is the same and you have to complete the same tasks:
Even the locations where you find the artifacts have remained the same. On the one hand, this has the advantage that you can play through the game more quickly and get to the next run. On the other hand, for some players there might not be enough incentive for a New Game Plus if the effects only show up on the Constellation.
However, there is a trick to shorten a run: you can tell the Constellation that you are a starborn and that you have therefore already seen several versions of the multiverse. So you can skip the story and go straight to the artifacts to collect them.
Therefore, you should decide for yourself whether you want to invest the additional playing time to see an alternative universe of Constellation.
