In Call of Duty: Warzone 2, players can cause trouble even from death. A clip on Reddit caused a corresponding reaction and it is unclear whether this is intentional.
Call of Duty: Warzone has always been a Battle Royale where you can get back into the game relatively easily after a death. A victory in the Gulag and on we go. You can also come back with a bit of cash from your teammates.
If your entire team is out, you go into the so-called “spectator mode”. You now have the view of the player who killed you or the last team member. In the top right of the image, the player can even see how many people are watching.
Actually, they are silent spectators without further access to the course of the match. It turns out that these viewers can still cause trouble after all. They still have access to global text chat, and toxic players are discovering that for themselves.

What’s going on there? A clip is currently popular in the Warzone subreddit, in which the problem can be seen very clearly.
An opponent that the player “Silver-Anybody5086” actually already killed reports in the text chat and wants to help other players nearby to kill his own killer:
The clip shows Silver-Anybody5086 fighting the final opponents and claiming victory.
Messages from a “Jamal” pop up again and again. With short hints, this player wants to help the others around to finish Silver-Anybody5086. Without success.

What do players say about this? Many of the commenting users hope that the topic will receive attention and that there will be changes in the future. In the subreddit it is the biggest topic of the past week and has over 3,900 upvotes with more than 370 comments.
For example, “rusticlizard” writes: “It’s so badly broken. Hopefully this gets upvoted on the page for the devs to fix somehow.”
Most of the other comments congratulate Silver-Anybody5086 on his victory, despite the nasty traitor in chat, or note what they think of Jamal and his behavior.
Some notice that they would probably never see this chat. They’ve completely disabled global text chat, which often doesn’t turn out well for many players anyway.
Warzone 2 does not rest after the release. New problems keep popping up, PCs crash or players discover inconsistencies in the balance.
For example, there is a perk that provides permanent drones: Perk in CoD Warzone 2 is far too strong, gives permanent drones – “Does that feel like cheating?”
The developers are working on one bug after the other, but the atmosphere is tense. There may be some relaxation for the mid-season update – the new content cycle starts on December 14th.
