All zoos give their animals plenty of water and treats frozen in ice on hot days. “Our tapirs, coatis, spider monkeys and squirrel monkeys are crazy about fruit. They want to get hold of that and that’s why they attack the ice. We’d like that, because it provides cooling,” says ZooParc in Overloon.
